Advanced Monitoring Techniques
The field of measurement technologies is rapidly advancing the water and wastewater sectors. Techniques that enable rapid, low cost, online measurements considerably improve knowledge and understanding of in plant processes and provide the ability to make rapid changes to optimise plant performance. Gold Coast Water supports several projects at the forefront of this development, including:
- a fluorescence based method for detecting changes in recycled water quality;
- a innovative bacterial approach to rapid toxicity and biological oxygen demand measurement; and
- an online stability sensor for anaerobic digesters.
