gold coast city council

Gold Coast City is now on Permanent Water Conservation Measures

permanent water conservation measurs logoFor the past 12 months, councils within the South East Queensland (SEQ) region have been subject to varying levels of water restrictions.

To ensure a consistent approach to our water security, the Queensland Water Commission (QWC) introduced Target 200 external website link Permanent Water Conservation Measures to the SEQ region on the 1 December 2009.

Target 200 Permanent Water Conservation Measures ensures we continue to enjoy our enviable lifestyle and amenities, but in a water efficient manner.

Gold Coast residents have worked hard to conserve water over the last few years and we thank you for your efforts!

As a member of the Gold Coast community, you are encouraged to continue to conserve water, by using only what you need. This will help us achieve our target of 200 litres per person per day.

What would you like the target to be? Have your say by visiting www.qwc.qld.gov.au.
