From 1 July 2010, Gold Coast Water ceased operations as the Gold Coast's water and wastewater service provider.

Allconnex Water is a specialist water business formed out of the Queensland Government's South East Queensland Water Reform.

The business is owned by Gold Coast, Logan and Redland City Councils and has a team of 800 experienced people.
